Yesterday, I received the notes from the Powerpoint presentation at Vassar College, which I would like to share with you at this point in time:
On Friday evening, the members of Powerpoint delivered a presentation to the students at the prestigious Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Our objective was to deliver mosh-driven results and achieve a symbiotic relationship with the up and coming graduates who may be looking to advance their careers in the near future.
In all, deals were made, hands were shaken and lives were changed.
In case my post on Tuesday just made you want to see more photos from United Blood, you’re in luck, because I have more for you!
Photos from Day 1 are all posted as of 6pm on 4/2, with Day 2 photos to be uploaded in the next day or so to the same link.

Just got back from United Blood this morning, as the weather in NYC caused my flight to be delayed 12 hours (awesome.)
Because I’m tired as hell, you’re going to get a quick wrap-up from the weekend:
The bands were awesome. No new “break out” bands though some did surprise me with the huge reactions they got, like Title Fight and War Hungry. Both great bands, but I’ve never seen kids go off for them like they did this weekend. Cold World and Have Heart still make me happy, and it was good to see Bitter End again. Bad Seed and Mother of Mercy are finally getting the attention they deserve too. Pulling Teeth only got to play 2 songs before someone broke a water pipe in the venue by swinging on it, and had to evacuate the building until they could fix the Niagara Falls coming out of the ceiling. Later, while standing by their merch table, a toilet overflowed and forced us to lift all of the merch off the floor to keep it from being soaked. Quote of the night -”Maybe if they didn’t have upside down crosses on all their merch, God wouldn’t hate them so much and this wouldn’t happen to them!”
I don’t often post news articles, and I really don’t think the world needs another music blog, however I did notice three articles yesterday I thought you might be interested in.
The first is about selling racist music online, the second is a review of Iron Age from the Tripwire (who knew hardcore was even on their radar!) and the third is a video posted on the New York Magazine site of the Fucked Up show that took place in the Rogan store.
In case you weren’t at either of the Anti-Matter shows this past weekend, my friend and co-worker Bill grabbed a few pictures for you!
You missed Soul Control’s amazing set, Triple Threat doing Mouthpiece songs, Geoff from Thursday singing for 108, Norm and Chris Daily playing for 108, “Clobberin’ Time” with Lou SOIA, a tight Supertouch set and lots of other guests and good times!
First, last night’s Indecision show was incredible! I watched it from the balcony, and to see that many kids going nuts was fantastic!
check out the video for the stage dives: http://youtube.com/watch?v=VMEUCCQgsAg
Nick, if you read this, hope you are feeling better. I saw you get crushed during the mosh, and heard you got stitches at the hospital last night.
for those of you who didn’t stay for Killing Time, you may have missed the following announcement:
Dec 15th @ Supreme Trading
Killing time
Disassociate
Malas noches
Step2far
Tension
This is a benefit show. Not sure on the time or cost.
…was amazing. There is nothing like seeing a band with that much emotion in a little space like the Charleston!
The new songs sounded great live and really blended in well with their past songs. I’m not a huge fan of the newest record, but seeing it live makes me enjoy it a bit more!
Also, it’s awesome to see a reaction like that to Hellhole. Every time I see them they sound a little more like Right Brigade….
In case you want to see what you missed out on, or re-live the memories,
Wendi, the coolest photo-taking gal in the city, grabbed some amazing shots:
and if you want to see some more of her photos, head to littlepinkshoes.com!
In case you missed the Annihilation Time show at the Charleston this past Tuesday, you can check it out on VBS.TV! If you see any shots of the crowd, check out the hot chick perched up next to the camera guy in the back.
Damn that was a good show.
